Anchor of Souls

I attended a ward fireside last night where a man named Al shared his testimony. Al is not yet a member of the church, but is anxiously awaiting his baptism in the near future. He discussed how he felt that his soul was lost before he met the missionaries -- that he was always strung out on drugs or alcohol. It was all he could do to keep himself sober during the day so that he could work in a construction job. The Book of Mormon and the Gospel of Jesus Christ changed all that for Al. He described going from a lost, detached spiritual state to one in which his soul is firmly anchored in his new-found faith.

Ether 12:4 Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.

LESSON LEARNED:  Reading and adhering to the principles found in The Book of Mormon can lead individuals from a lost, uncertain state to one that is anchored in faith in Jesus Christ.

FEEDBACK:  HAVE YOU WITNESSED THIS MIRACLE HAPPEN WITH THE HELP OF THE BOOK OF MORMON?
